Hi

We are Lapdog a punk/rock/skate band from Umeå/Sweden, this post will be our default info page here on Skatepunkers.

Band started back in 1992 by the brothers Holmberg (Alexander and Christoffer).

A mini-cd was released in 1995 on Ampersand Records "Knight for a day" and we also appeared on "Salmons of hort" with bands like Millencolin, Stones, Superdong, The Fitzgeralds, Him Kerosene this also on Ampersand Records. (Recorded by Pelle Gunnerfeldt)

In 1998 we got two songs on a Bad Religion tribute "A tribute to Bad Religion vol.2" with other bands like Pridebowl, Adhesive, Passage 4, Cascade, Sober. We had picked the songs No control and God song. (Recorded at Tonteknik)

Band kinda went down now and then due to drugs and that kinda crap, but is nowdays clean as hell and happy to live and play music.

Since Alex never stopped writing songs we got big plans, we currently have recorded 14 songs that we are sending out in hope that someone want's to release us, we got CD or Digital link to send if any label is interessed.

We also want to record the CD that never came, back in 1997 there was plans for a CD and since we still have all the demos from that time, we feel it would be nice to record the songs and release it.

Lapdog also has a side/project, a Swedish trall/punk/rock project called Social Skam (http://www.reverbnation.com/socialskam) but more about that later, we also want to record the 10 songs for that..

Knight for a day 1995 line-up.
Alexander Holmberg - Vocals & guitar
Christopher Holmberg - Drums
Bengt Wahlin - Bass
Tomas Andersson - Guitar.

Members 2011:
Alexander Holmberg vocals, guitar
Tomas Andersson Drums
Fredrik Sehlin Guitar, b.vocals
Mattias Norberg Bass, b.vocals

We can be found at our new homepage: http://www.lapdogtheband.com - we also got a page at Reverbnation, http://www.reverbnation.com/lapdogumea

Gigs! We love to play as much as we can, drop us a line.

Awesome, keep us updated!
"Look at your life, cause I am sorry but that is it. And you think you're better off this way. But I think it's sad that you can't see. And you think it's better off this way but when the pleasure fades one day, where will you turn and where will you run? When it's all through and there's no more fun will there be time to turn it around? When you look up and ask Him will you be too late or be found?"

Our plans for releasing "Knight for a day" on vinyl is still on, we just have to delay it abit.

Since we have not found any label that we want to work with, we will insted release the 14-song CD on our own. Release for the CD is sometime before september, it will be found on interpunk and every record-store that can order from the Grammotex here in Sweden. http://www.grammotex.com/

We will release the "Knight for a day" as soon as we can afford it, more gigs, more "cirkellistor", hopefully before the end of the year.

Heads up, yesterday our aim in the studio was just to set up the gear, make some tweaks, test the sound. It ended up with 8-9 songs (just the basics) about 9 left. The song their foe has been re-recorded. We will just record the basics in the big studio then we will use our own studio.

If we still have time after all the "97" songs have been recorded we will record some of the very new songs or maybe some more old ones.

Once again, remember to like us on facebook, http://www.facebook.com/lapdogtheband

New studio dates are 9th, 10th, 12th, 14th (15th) july.

Gratz on your birthday :ugeek: . We started yesterday with setting up everything, today we had 17 basics recorded with just dub2 for guitar 2 left. (then melodies, solos, bass, write lyrics.... vocals and more...), think we will only record bass and maybe some solos in the big studio the rest we can do in our tiny studio.

This is fully recorded by me we just had a SAE soundguy set up the microphones and show some tips on the new mixer, then we kicked him out :P
