This is a great discover I did yesterday when someone posted a video of this band on the skatepunkers facebook.
Apple Pie is a mixture of old blink + that kind of "Once You Pop You Can't Stop" style vocals that sound a lot like Broken Cedars.

I also read that it was dead since 2007, but why are two "The Galaxy They Came From" releases? One with the cover I posted on the blog, and the other one with the following cover. The first one was like a demo, and the second one, a re-release?

I have no idea to be honest! I guess it's a re-release since it's the only thing that wasn't DIY *shrugs* Did you compare your download with the one from the singer's website?

They were signed to a label called B12-Records from 2005 until 2006, but even with some research I haven't found that label ...there are a few labels with that name in germany but none of them seems to have released it?!? I suggest to contact the singer but I haven't found any mail-adress or something :(

hi, this is alex...the bass player and one of the 2 singers in apple pie. and the owner of http://www.sandermania.de
i just found out about this thread and was suprised that someone still cares about my old band. that's fuckin' cool.

so let me clear this up for ya...here's the story:

it's true. we were signed to this fucked up label called B-12 records in 2006. but it turned out to be the biggest mistake we could make.
but hey, we were young and thought "ok, a label wants us...there's nothing to lose". little that we know - we lost everything with signin to that so-called label.
the production of this EP was a fuckin mess. the engineer was a barefooted drunk and didn't know anything about how to produce a punk rock band.
the label-boss was a fuckin' asshole. he wanted "tits" on the cover - nothing wrong with that- but i said to him "fuck that shit". tits have nothing to do with the titel of that EP. so we went with the title that me and my bandmates had in mind.
after being one year (contract) with B12, and numerous complications and too much shit we went through with the label, we decided to get out of that contract. the label boss wrote me an email, saying that he has the rights to the songs and he would sue us, if we would ever play one of the songs live again. i wrote him back "fuck you, i wrote those songs and i play them live whenever i want." after that, we never heard of him again. and in september 2007 apple pie broke up. we think the label is guilty, up to 90% for our break-up. too many things went wrong. but i won't bore you with more details about it.

years later the label-boss put the "the galaxy the came from EP" on various download-platforms to still make money with apple pie.
including a dumb, retarded, cheap ass dinosaur cover. whatever the fuck he had in mind, while making this cover artwork. maybe he was on crack.

the bottom line is: FUCK B-12! FUCK THE LABEL BOSS! & FUCK THAT FAKE EP WITH THE DINOSAUR!
and don't pay anything for that EP - you can download it for FREE here or on my website, along with all the other music and videos i made
http://www.sandermania.de

in 2008 i put out an apple pie live album called "Live From urAnus". the quality kinda sucks. but you can still hear the fun we had playing live.
and in 2011 i recorded the last apple pie songs, that never got released, by myself. that's the "BOY CRAZY - DOUBLE EP"
disc 1 includes the punk rock versions (how the new apple pie songs would have sounded like)
and disc 2 contains some more mature acoustic versions of these songs.

and if you wanna lower your IQ check out the hilarious, funny, crazy documentary that i made about apple pie.
on http://www.youtube.com/pussypunkdeluxe

you can also download the documentary on my website an burn it on DVD - to get the full pleasure!

YOU CAN PUT ALL THOSE RELEASES ON SKATEPUNKERS - IF YOU WANT.

if you have more questions - feel free to ask.

^ Awesome guy. Funny story. Sorry the label thing turned out so terrible. That's a dang sucky way for a band to flame out.

Yep. x2
But I must say that I laughed with "he wanted tits in the cover" thing. Kinda lame for a label boss to ask for that like If he was going to make more money with it.
